- Osteogenesis imperfecta
- Palpates Landmarks correctly

- preparation of equipment:
- right needle size -
- red = 15mm
- blue = 25mm → this should be ok for average sized adult prox tibia
- yellow = 45mm → this should be ok for average sized adult prox humerus
- skin prep
- IO dressing
- extension and flush (prime with 2% lidocaine if conscious?)
- wristband
- right needle size -
- safe insertion of IO
- awareness that blood taken can be sent to lab for analysis
- hard flush +/- local anaesthetic if patient is conscious
- documents accurately
- removal after IV access gained- up to 72h
