  • Correct choice of probe
  • systematic approach to FAST scan - suggest:
    • R upper chest (eFAST)
    • L upper chest (eFAST)
    • R lower chest → RUQ abdo
    • L lower chest → LUQ abdo
    • Pelvic view x2 transverse + longitudinal
    • Subxiphoid view
  • Obtains usable images - able to correct gain/depth
  • interprets images appropriately
  • suggests further investigations
