Tetanus prophylaxis

no further treatment required
- age >11, with adequate priming course of tetanus vaccine and last dose within 10 years
- age 5-10 with priming course and preschool booster
- age <5 with priming course
give immediate reinforcing dose
- adequate priming course, but last dose >10 years OR
- age 5-10 with priming course but no booster AND
- tetanus-prone wounds
OR
- Not received adequate priming course of tetanus vaccine, or uncertain immunisation status, and/or born before 1961 AND
- clean wound^
immediate reinforcing dose AND immunoglobulin
