| Clinical presentation | redness, photophobia, tearing, pain (anterior) - onset within hours O/E: synechiae (= misshapen pupil), unreactive pupil, hypopyon - Shining a light into the ‘good’ eye causes pain in the other. Pain ↑ as eyes converge and pupils react to accommodation (Talbot’s test) |

| Diagnostic investigations | Exclude corneal abrasion/ulcer, check IOP. Slit lamp: aqueous flare in ant chamber Check HLA-B27 if recurrent. |
| Management | Refer ophthal Treatment may include steroids, cyclopentolate/atropine (paralysis of ciliary body to prevent adhesions between iris and lens) |
