insert ALS algo

with compromise

  • atropine 500mcg IV
    • formulation
      • 500 mcg/5ml = 5ml per bolus
      • 3mg/10ml = 1.5ml per bolus
        • for 300-600mcg bolus = 1-2ml per bolus
    • repeat to max 3mg (i.e. 6 times allowed)
  • isoprenaline infusion 5 mcg/min
  • adrenaline infusion 2-10 mcg/min

mechanical pacing

↑ risk of asystole:

  • Ventricular pause >3s
  • Mobitz type II = progressive lengthening of PR interval with eventual dropped ventricular conduction
  • Complete heart block with broad QRS (remember cardio may send people with CHB home for OP PPM...)
  • recent asystole
