Anaphylactoid reaction
- Immediate systemic reaction which are NOT IgE-mediated
- Rash, hypotension, angioedema, vomiting
- Common triggers: NAC
- SNAP regimen has lower risk of such reactions
- Management:
- Stop infusion and give chlorphenamine (backed up by Glasgow + Clyde guidelines)
- Restart infusion at half rate
- If in doubt, treat as anaphylaxis
