- passes through cubital fossa anterior to medial epicondyle
- passes between flexor digitorum superficialis and flexor digitorum profundus
branches
- supply before branching: Superficial group of anterior forearm and intermediate group
- anterior interosseous nerve - Deep group of anterior forearm
- palmar cutaneous - lateral skin of palm
- recurrent branch - Thenar eminence
- palmar digital - lateral 2 lumbricals, dorsal surface and nail beds of lateral 3.5 digits
important innervations
- thenar eminence (recurrent branch)
- lateral 2 Lumbricals
- flexor pollicis longus, pronator quadratus (anterior interosseous)
- Flexor digitorum superficialis
- hand of benediction
