- lymphatics - contained in femoral canal
femoral canal lies at medial edge of femoral sheath
Femoral nerve does NOT lie in the femoral sheath!
femoral canal + ring
Femoral canal opening i.e. femoral ring is site for femoral hernias
lots of potential space - allows femoral vein to expand

- deep inguinal lymph nodes
- lymphatic vessels
boundaries:
- anterior: inguinal ligament
- posterior: pectineal ligament
- medial: lacunar ligament
- lateral: femoral vein
